Jeremiah chronicles the final years of Judah before the Babylonian captivity, calling the nation to repentance and prophesying the destruction of Jerusalem and the promise of a New Covenant.

“The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it?”

“Heal me, O LORD, and I will be healed; save me, and I will be saved, for You are my praise.”

“But I will restore your health and heal your wounds, declares the LORD, because they call you an outcast, Zion, for whom no one cares.”

“Oh, Lord GOD! You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too difficult for You!”

“But blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, whose confidence is in Him.”
