History and Origins
The Berean Standard Bible is a relatively modern English translation published by Bible Hub and the Berean Bible Society. It was compiled from original Hebrew and Greek texts using a transparent committee process to create an accurate, highly readable translation.
Translation Philosophy
The BSB is translated using a combination of formal equivalence (word-for-word accuracy) and dynamic equivalence (thought-for-thought clarity). It aims to be faithful to the original languages while rendering clean, elegant modern English that is ideal for public reading and study.
